. . . with sewing stuff and shoving it into tins continues. I made this (and the card) for my dear friend's birthday.
It's not that my friend has a thing for flamingos - it's just that she's such a good friend that she doesn't care if I decide on a random bird theme for her birthday. Everyone needs a friend as forgiving as that.
And in other news, I baked a cake . . .
It was an out-of-a-packet cake, but a cake never the less. Why is this even newsworthy, you ask? Because it is the first ever cake I have ever baked. Ever. Did I mention EVER.
I managed to make it into my fourth decade on this planet without ever having baked a cake.
To be clear, my cake-baking abstinence was not some political stand. This was no comment on society or rejection of 'traditional roles'. It was mostly because I seriously do not give a rat's arse about baking. And I also suck at it. So I tend to outsource that shit, for the benefit of everyone involved.
The world is a better place because people do not have to eat things I've cooked.
