. . . Little Man tipped a cup of water over my laptop. Some very quick thinking on Muz's part means I still have a working computer tonight, and I am now spending my evening backing up files.
Wake. Up. Call.
Of course I could ask what the HELL was Little Man was doing NEAR my computer with a cup of water . . . but to be honest I am just so grateful Muz managed to salvage the situation that I'm going to let that slide.
. . . at work. It was Muz, asking how to get permanent marker out of the carpet. A moment's inattention, a marker left within the reach of graspy little hands and, all of a sudden, we have a new artwork . . . on the floor.
As it turns out, getting marker out of the carpet wasn't our biggest problem. In fact it came out quite easily because you can put chemicals on carpets.
It would appear that we will be living with the evidence of this parental fail for some days yet.
. . . a moment's inattention and now we need a new bathroom basin. Believe me when I say this was not in the budget this month!
It happened while I was attempting to disinfect Little Man. We'd been out and he'd been picking up cigarette butts, as he does. I wish I could say I was kidding at this point, but sadly I'm not. He knows he's not meant to do it, but that's what makes it all the more fun. Now it's a game to him. He picks them up and then runs away from me, laughing.
Anyway, I was trying to bleach Little Man's hands (OK, now I'm kidding . . . sort of) and somehow he managed to rip off the tap lever. That, in itself, was no big deal. However, then he hurled it into the basin. It was all over in a split second. And now we need a new basin.
What. A. Complete. Arse.
